Born and raised in Turin, Italy, Alessandra Sorrentino is a highly regarded Story Artist and 2D Animator, currently working at Netflix.


Her career in the animation industry spans over 18 years, marked by contributions to renowned studios such as PIXAR, Blue Sky, Cartoon Saloon and Aardman.


Alessandra's creative influence is evident in a wide array of acclaimed projects, including "Inside Out 2", "Nimona",  “Wolfwalkers”, “Ron’s Gone Wrong”, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", “A Shaun the Sheep Movie”, “Song of the Sea”, “The Breadwinner”, “The Secret of Kells”. Her dedicated work has been recognized with two Emmy nominations, further establishing her esteemed standing in the industry.


In addition to her accomplishments, Alessandra has proven to be a committed mentor, sharing her knowledge at PIXAR, Netflix, the School of Visual Arts in New York and The Animation Workshop in Denmark. She also mentors the next generation of storytellers at Schoolism.


Alessandra's artistic endeavors extend beyond animation. She founded Rosaspina Vintage, a unique clothing line crafted from 1950s fabrics, and delved into freelance photography, further diversifying her creative expressions.


She continues to cultivate her creative journey, finding inspiration amidst the bustling vibrancy of New York City.
